About me

My name is Yumei Leventhal, a Freelance Intellectual-Solo Practitioner.™

I have a lifelong interest in learning and in educational pedagogy. I find learning while teaching gives me incredible insights that help me work with students, so from time to time I set out to learn something as a student. My latest, and perhaps most ambitious, undertaking, is to learn a computer language. For a “humanities person” like me, albeit a competent user, computer programming represents a new frontier, behind which lies an interesting, but different world.

My B.A. was from Peking University; my M.A. and Ph.D. were from the University of Maryland.  (Go Terps!)
